Position Summary:

The main purpose of the position is to cook meals for Residents in the Villa Marguerite dining room. Responsible to follow safe cooking practices and to take direction from the Director of Food Services. A variety of culinary tasks will be required as well as standard cleaning tasks. May also be required to assist in food ordering, receiving, storage.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience in similar role
Journeyman Cook Certificate and / or recognized cooking program is an asset, not required for this position
Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs
Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language
Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and general safety
Strong organizational skills as well as the ability to stay focused
Ability to prioritize tasks, keeping track of what is required at what time
Reliable with attendance, working all schedules shifts in their entirety
Must be able to work independently or as part of the interdisciplinary team
Clear Criminal Record Check (no more than 6 months old)


Food Service Attendant

Position Summary:

Involves working in cafeteria, serving food to, and assisting Residents with serving food, washing dishes, cleaning dish room, and washing floor. Assists with pot washing / kitchen cleaning duties, and replenishing cafeteria line supplies. The Food Services environment can be fast paced during meal hours. Work consistently for periods of four hours continuously.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs
